Pagecut

Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Pagecut is a Chrome extension by Yenthe Jannis, Merelstraat 19, 3930 Hamont-Achel, Belgium, company number BE 1028.885.433. This policy explains what Pagecut does with data.

In short: Pagecut does not collect or send any of your data. Everything happens, and stays, on your own computer.

What Pagecut accesses

When you start a capture, Pagecut opens the website you chose, reads its pages (their layout, content and links, and the site's sitemap.xml and robots.txt) to find pages and sections, and takes screenshots. This happens only when you start a capture, and only for the website you chose.

Where your data goes

The screenshots are packed into a ZIP file and saved to your Downloads folder. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. Pagecut has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

What Pagecut stores

Your settings, settings you saved for specific websites, the pages you chose for a website, and the progress of a capture while it runs are saved in your browser's extension storage on your own device. If you capture with Mockups on, Pagecut also keeps a copy of the screenshots of that capture in your browser, so you can make mockups from them afterwards in the mockup studio. The next capture with Mockups on replaces that copy. None of this leaves your computer, and uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

Network requests

Pagecut only connects to the websites you ask it to capture.

Permissions

Pagecut asks Chrome for these permissions, and uses them only for capturing:

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or share any data, because Pagecut does not collect any.

Children

Pagecut is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Important changes are also mentioned in Pagecut's release notes.
